Registering with the Practice and Making Appointments
Registering with the practice
How to register
Please contact Reception on 01256 479 747
We can only accept patients who live in our catchment area. You can register by completing a registration form which can be obtained from the practice.
Your first appointment
When you register, we will ask you to make an appointment to see the practice nurse for a new patient health check. This will make sure that our records are accurate and all routine checks to promote your health and well-being (such as blood pressure/smear tests, mammograms) are up to date.
Once you have been accepted as a patient your medical records will be transferred to us. You do not need to inform your existing practice that you are moving, although it may be courteous to do so.
Making an appointment
If you have a problem which is life threatening, dial 999 immediately
If you are unsure whether or not you need to see a doctor, telephone NHS Direct - 0845 46 47 - for advice
I need to see a doctor or a nurse
If the surgery is open - Monday to Friday 8.30am - 6pm, you can telephone reception - 01256 479 747 - for an appointment. You may book an appointment up to 4 weeks ahead. If emergency treatment is required, you will receive it.
Or you can book an appointment to see your doctor using our Appointments-online service.
Please note: You should book a double appointment if you wish to discuss more than one problem with your doctor.
If the surgery is closed, and you cannot wait until the surgery reopens, telephone the Out of Hours HantsDoc Call Service on 01189 365 592 to discuss your needs with an on call duty doctor

Appointments Online
"Appointments online" is a free service for all our patients who are aged over 16. This allows you to book routine appointments with your GP. You can also use the service to cancel a previously-booked appointment.
You need to sign-up to use this service as you will need a password to access our appointments.
How do I sign up?
Let us know you wish to use this service by:

Who can I book/cancel an appointment with?
We are offering online booking for routine appointments with your own GP. For all other types of appointment you will need to either telephone, or come into the surgery.
How far ahead can I book/cancel an appointment?
You can book appointments between two days and 1 month ahead. If you need to book an appointment sooner, or with someone other than your own GP, you will need to telephone the surgery.
Can anyone else see or change my appointments?
No. Your login details allow only you to view your appointments, along with any other appointments that are presently free, and available for booking.
Please Note: appointments booked using your login will be for you. If you are booking an appointment for someone else, you will need to log in using their details.
Only you, (or under certain circumstances, one of our practice staff), can cancel an appointment made by you.
