New Procedures at Gillies Health Centre

We have listened to your comments collected via our Practice Survey and the National Survey for which we thank you and as a result are introducing some changes which we hope will improve our service to you.

Continuity of Care

We have changed our appointment system to try and preserve appointments with doctors for their own patients even more than in the past. This will mean that you should be able to see your own doctor more consistently than before.

Requests for Certificates & Repeat Prescriptions

We accept written requests for repeat prescriptions or medical certificates by post, fax, via our website or you can drop off the request at reception. The practice does not accept phone requests. This is to protect you from the risk of error that can occur with verbal requests. We will address any enquiries about Repeat Prescriptions and certificates between 11am and 12 midday, Monday to Friday only.

Test Results

You may telephone or call in to Reception to receive your test results between 12 midday and 2pm, Monday to Friday. We will be unable to give them out outside these times.

Telephone System

You will hear a new telephone message when you call us, which is designed to direct patients to a more appropriate part of the Practice so that your enquiry may be dealt with more effectively.

We hope that these changes will allow us to improve your experience with us and we will be monitoring events to assess their success and make any further changes as necessary.
